The Birch Collection

Inspired by the many iconic varieties of birch that populate the woods and clearings of my native New England, the birches range in size from 2" tall tea-light holders up to 10" tall vases.

The birch collection is thrown from a white stoneware clay, which I meticulously burnish, carve, and texture to achieve the unique look of white birch.

I leave the exteriors as raw, unglazed clay to highlight the natural beauty of the white clay and emphasize the tactile relationship to actual bark.

All pieces are glazed on the interiors, insuring a waterproof lining.

Glazes are food safe, non-toxic, and microwave safe.
